My issue is a bit different in that I already downloaded and have been playing but upon launching this morning received a '30426' Unable to complete version update, but all the same this prevented me. I got this from the ffxiv forums. #2 is what has been causing it to fail for my GF. She has reinstalled the game and that fixed it the first time. The second time she got this she did not want to reinstall the game but i saw there was 'savingsbull' installed for some weird reason.
